History
The AT-6 was made by the North American Co. of the US, equipped with a 550 hp P&W R-13A40-49 reciprocating engine. Its maximum speed is 140 nautical miles per hour and service ceiling is 24,200 feet. It carries two 0.30-inch machine guns and can be equipped with two 100-ponud bombs. It was a well-known light trainer aircraft during World War II, and joined ROC Air Force service in 1946 as the Academy’s advanced flying trainer. The aircraft retired in 1950 was also used by the force for combat training, familiar flight and liaison missions.
