* History     
 The F-5A was made by the Northrop Co. of the US, equipped with two J85-GE-13 axial-flow engines of each with 4,080 pounds thrust power. Its maximum speed is 620 nautical miles per hour and service ceiling is 50,000 feet. It carries two M39 20-milimeter cannons, and can be equipped with two AIM-9 sidewinder missiles, two 750-pound or 1000-pound bombs, or one 2000-pound bomb.

 It came into the ROC Air Force service in 1965, starting the Force’s use of F-5 fighter series, and was officially retired on June 30, 1987. .
