MIG-17 (Mural)
History
This MIG-17 was driven by anti-communist hero Wang Hsue-Cheng from Zhejiang’s Daishan Airport and was voluntarily surrendered to Taiwan on November 14, 1983. It is equipped with a VK-1F axial-flow engine of 7,440 pounds thrust power. Its maximum speed is 590 nautical miles per hour and service ceiling is 52,500 feet. It carries one 37-milimeter cannon and two 23-milimeter cannons, and can be equipped with two 37-milimeter rocket cannons or two 550-pound bombs for missions of air interception or ground support.
