2024-03-28 Our school library’s e-book collection has reached 26,000 volumes and its continuous expansion is expected.
To encourage more people to borrow books from our e-book collection, this section offers the detailed procedure for applying an e-book account.
Library users can first go online to register a personal account from the Library Card Application section before using our integrated search system to borrow e-books. Most English e-books require the installation of Adobe Acrobat while Chinese e-books require different reading software depending on the publisher. Questions regarding registration shall be addressed to library@cc.cafa.edu.tw or by calling 977161-2 (military phone) to speak to our library staff member Lin Chiung-fen.
Remarks:
- Registration is not required for users who already possess our library card. Please login using your existing account name and password.
- Each user may only register once. Users who already possess our library card but have been transferred elsewhere can call us to search for your account and update your unit name.
- External users who wish to register online require approval by our library (user will be notified by email) before the account name and password can be validated.
- Users who wish to register through a group roster require a compiled roster from the user’s command unit (see attachment 1 for format, group e-book account registration). A consent form is also required (see attachment 2) along with personal data. Contact from the user’s command unit to the school via the official document procedure is preferred.
With an e-book account, users can borrow books without leaving their home and enjoy the efficiency and convenience of digital books.
