Our school library joined the Taiwan Academic E-book & Database Consortium in 2014. As a member of the consortium, our library can enjoy access to the group buying rate, which enables us to use our limited budget effectively. As of the end of December 2015, our e-book collection has reached 24,700 volumes, with a growth of over ten thousand volumes per year. Similar to a real book, our e-book collection can be browsed using our library collection search system. However, each e-book has a different borrowing policy depending on the licensing method of its publisher. Generally speaking, a reading software is required for e-books in Chinese. E-books will be returned automatically upon the return date. For most e-books in foreign languages, user can download the PDF file directly and save it onto their device.
